What chance do I stand for M7 if I apply in R2 this year? Would I miss a chance if I do not apply in R1? (I wish I could apply in R1. But, improving my Verbal score will require a month's effort at least, and managing application process for R1 deadlines will be a rush.)
I understand I belong to an over-represented group (Indian IT Male Engineer), does my 'B.Arch' degree help me stand-out?
Anything I should do to add brownie points to my profile for R2 applications?

I am thinking of applying in Round 1 and yet to give the GMAT exam. What would be an ideal/average score that you would suggest for the top 10-15 colleges in the US?
Request you to help me evaluate whether a new job would be beneficial to my MBA journey.
Profile: Dual Degree from Top 5 IITs, GPA: 7.92/10 I have a three-year gap in my profile due to the UPSC exam. Post this, I joined the top 3 valued startups in India as Assistant Manager - Category Operations in the International division for 2 years. I currently work in a B2B startup as a program manager for the last 6 months.
Goals: 1 year MBA for 2023 admit preferably in a school focusing on tech. Long-term goal: technology/product-based venture on my own.
I have currently received an offer from an early-stage startup with just seed funding to be part of their core team.
But I am scared that this might look on my resume like I jumped between jobs without direction since my job description of my new job is very similar to my current job.
How should I be considering this job along with my MBA journey?
Undergrad education: BA (honors) Economics from Hindu college, Delhi University; graduated with 68% (first division)
School: Humanities with 96.5%, stream topper at school level; 100/100 in psychology.
Total work experience: 4 years; Industry: Digital media/new internet/news -The Economic Times Wealth (online): 2018-current as a senior digital content producer -POPxo: 2017-2018 as a community associate
Test scores GMAT: 700, (Q45, V41 and 6 in AWA)
Certifications -Marketing Psychology: How to become a master of influence” course online from Udemy (2020) -Digital Marketing course from the Electronics Service & Training Centre, under the GoI’s MSME Ministry (2016)
Volunteer work -Assisted in content, campaign creations for a non-profit collective aimed at working for social causes in India -Assisted in creating a platform for verifying leads for covid-19 patients Pan-India, verified leads and resources for the same -Assisted in delivery of food as an essential service for homegrown catering service
Extra curriculars -Western and Indian classical dance -Synthesizer/Indian and Western classical music
Languages -English, Hindi and (basic/beginner level) French
I'm currently working as an Assistant Manager - Analytics in a Fortune 15 firm since 3 years in India. Prior to that 9 months in an Indian unicorn as MT. Graduated from IIT (not the old 5) with a gold medal in a life-sciences engineering branch.
Goals: 1 year MBAs for 2022 admit. Currently have a job offer in hand that is giving me a Product experience lead role in a B2B firm (valuation 300cr, 15 year old) and will be working directly under CXOs. I am very interested in a career in Product management right now or post MBA in Management Consulting(couldn't get into it after undergrad and MBA will open doors for it).
Long term goal is to lead digital transformation in firms with product and data-mindset. Open own venture with the next big idea (had 2-3 ideas in the past, made B-plans, but chickened out of execution due to financial risk)
Question - Does this new interesting role at a startup-ish org look better on resume than an Assistant Manager at Fortune 15 (high chance of not getting promoted to manager by the time of applications)?
The role looks very interesting to me (product strategy, stakeholder management, combines my data background to product experiences and interest) so I really want a quick 1 to 1.5 year stint here before applying for MBAs. But will it make me look as a job hopper? Will the unknown startup brand soil the Fortune 15 brand on the resume for an the adcom member?

BACKGROUND: Indian IT Male 27 years old Schools: M7 T10 (Need advice on the schools I should target) Profile: Software tech entrepreneur Interested in: Full time 2Y MBA, joint MSCS-MBA programs Short term goals - roles at the intersection of business strategy, product and technology management in tech startups Long term goals - start my own B2B software technology company, possibly something to do with enterprise digital transformation using AI
ACADEMICS: B.Tech. Computer Science from one of the old IITs CGPA 7.55/10 GMAT - 770/800 Q50, V45, IR8
WORK EXPERIENCE: Total 64 months (Dec 2020). All in India.
32 months as software engineer at F500 financial services company (campus placement). Fast promotion (1 of 3 in ~200 at same position with same experience), awards for Innovation and Excellence
3 months as remote software engineer at US based Machine Learning enterprise search startup
15 months as CTO(not founder) at a social e-commerce tech startup in Delhi This was probably the turning point in my career. Took a CTO role at an early stage startup as the only software engineer with an 80% pay cut and significant equity. Made a small, but noticeable dent in the influencer marketing driven e-commerce space, grew tech team to 5 (post the angel funding round), the startup raised close to $1 million funds over 2 rounds from reputed angels and VC. Quit due to differences in opinion with founders over significantly lesser spending on growing the tech team and improving the product and technology (than was agreed pre-funding). Personally lost 75% equity which was unvested at the time, as well as there was the opportunity cost of taking just bare minimum salary for over a year. Took a big financial hit while quitting - didn't have much cash left even though I had close to 4 years of experience in the "lucrative" software engineering job function - since I had also sponsored the engineering education of a younger first cousin (contributed $20k - almost 15 months of savings from the F500 job), but I didn't believe in building a tech company without necessary investment in the technology and hence quit. I am still very close to my direct reports though, since hiring them and working with them was an integral part of my first leadership experience, and try to perform the role of a career coach and mentor in whatever ways I can - networking, skills development, interview practice etc. Helped 2 of them land very well paid tech jobs at prestigious Indian startups during a tough Covid market when this one went bust a year after I had quit.
Current role - 14 months as VP Engineering at B2B Enterprise software startup Software specifically targeted for Pharmaceutical enterprises. Leading software engineering function at the startup, grew tech team to 8 people, delivered software for F500 (1) as well as top Indian (5) pharma clients. Startup raised over $1 million from a reputed VC.
EXTRACURRICULARS: Post College
