Thanks for reaching out @shambhavi mehrotra. Hope you and family are keeping safe as well
Undergrad education: BA (honors) Economics from Hindu college, Delhi University; graduated with 68% (first division)
School: Humanities with 96.5%, stream topper at school level; 100/100 in psychology.
You're fine on grades. Also, Hindu college has strong pedigree. Again you have strong competition here from lies of SRCC, LSR, Miranda House, St. Stephen's etc.
Total work experience: 4 years; Industry: Digital media/new internet/news
-The Economic Times Wealth (online): 2018-current as a senior digital content producer
-POPxo: 2017-2018 as a community associate
ET Brand is good. Need to understand your career progression, growth in responsibilities etc. AdCom like to see how youre role has progressed over time which as an indicator of how you'll perform in future
Test scores
GMAT: 700, (Q45, V41 and 6 in AWA)
Your Verbal score >40 is good. Weakness is in Quant. If you crack Q 50/51 Quant with the same verbal score, your'e looking at a 740/750 + overall
Certifications
-Marketing Psychology: How to become a master of influence” course online from Udemy (2020)
-Digital Marketing course from the Electronics Service & Training Centre, under the GoI’s MSME Ministry (2016)
Certifications don't really have a lot of weightage in the MBA Admission process. Real world experience, even as an intern for few months, will hold more weightage than certificaton. So focus accordingly
Volunteer work
-Assisted in content, campaign creations for a non-profit collective aimed at working for social causes in India
-Assisted in creating a platform for verifying leads for covid-19 patients Pan-India, verified leads and resources for the same
-Assisted in delivery of food as an essential service for homegrown catering service
Good cocurriculars. Since you already have strong content background in full-time work, try to highlight a different skill set through your co-curriculars eg. Leadership, Tech, Finance etc.
Extra curriculars
-Western and Indian classical dance
-Synthesizer/Indian and Western classical music
Filter our hobbies. Focus on activities when you can show sustained involvement over a long period of time
Languages
-English, Hindi and (basic/beginner level) French
English, Hindi and other Indian languages are not as relevant for top Global B-Schools. Focus on International languages like French, SPanish etc. where you atleast have intermediary or spoken proficiency
Target schools: Among top 20-25 in the US.
Overall I think you have a strong sho, even at the Top 10-20. Try to improve your GMAT and highlight career progression. All the Best with your applications
